David Floyd is a full time faculty member at Austin Community College. He teaches courses in accounting designed for freshman and sophomore students. David received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accountant from Huston-Tillotson College in Austin, Texas. He then went on to receive his Master of Science in Accounting in 1996 for Bentley College in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2008, he passed the qualifying examinations for the Doctorate Degree from Argosy University.
David is presently writing his dissertation and is scheduled to complete it in the summer of 2010. He passed the Certified Public Accountant examination in 2002. David has worked as a Senior Accountant for Hanson Aggregates in Irving, Texas. He also worked as Senior Accountant for Lavinski, Allan, and Associates in Dallas, Texas. He was staff accountant for Cargill Steel and Wire, also located in the Dallas, Texas area. He has two children, David Jr., and Daniel, who live with their mother in Dallas, Texas.
