David Floyd is a full time faculty member at Austin Community College, Austin, Texas. He teaches courses in Accounting for freshmen and sophomores. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Huston-Tillotson College, also in Austin, Texas, his Masters of Science in Accountancy from Bentley University in Boston, Massachusetts and is presently working on his Doctorate Degree. He is the author of Through My Mother’s Tears, a heartfelt story about growing up in poverty and achieving his goals in life against insurmountable odds. His contribution to the anthology is an excerpt from his autobiography.
